HOW DO I BOOK MY PHOTO SHOOT?
- Complete the online contact form or send me an email to [email protected]
- Decide on a package and a date on which would suit you (and your family members if you are choosing a family shoot)
- I will forward you my prices and packages if you would like a personal quote and I will confirm if I am available on the date you've requested.
- We then decide on a time and the location and I will email you with tips and if props are needed.
HOW DO I MAKE MY PAYMENT?
- Amount due is payable via EFT, I can email you my banking details. If you decide to only EFT payment after the shoot, I will ONLY release your previews online once the amount has been cleared. If you have not made payment, I still have ownership of all images.
- You are more than welcome to pay in cash as well on the scheduled day of your shoot.
HOW DO WE DECIDE A LOCATION:
- I prefer to shoot on location in parks, fields and beaches in natural light.
- During winter months, weather permitting the outdoor location, I will inform you if we need to re-schedule as I do not own a studio.
- If preferred, we can shoot indoors at your home.
MATERNITY & NEW BORN PHOTO SHOOT:
- I am booked well in advance so I recommend that for maternity shoots, that you please contact me in their early stage of your pregnancy to secure your slot as I would like you to be 8 months at your fullest.
- The same goes for newborn shoots, so that I am able to slot them in when they are at their tiniest.
- Newborn shoots are done in the client's home as they are more relaxed there and you have all your necessities close by.
WHAT DO I DO WHEN IT COMES TO PROPS?
- I have a small collection for newborn and baby, but mostly will use the client's / baby's items (blankets, clothing, shoes, etc).
- For older children, I recommend you bring their favorite toys or items with that represents them and their personality to keep them happy and relaxed.
- I do encourage clients to bring along something special and unique that defines them and their family, which also helps your photographs look different and interesting. I am open to any ideas or suggestions you may have.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO BRING ALONG?
- Once your booking has been confirmed, I will send you all the necessary information regarding the shoot package you have chosen.
- I am a huge fan of story telling, so if at all possible, I would love it if you prepare a small paragraph relating to your shoot (something inspirational or just a little story), that I can add to your online album.
WHAT CAMERA & EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
- I use a Canon 600D and have 3 lenses, my 55-250mm, 18-55mm or F1.8 50mm.
- I shoot everything in color and then I’ll make certain photos B/W during the editing process.
- I have a tripod handy just in case, but hardly ever use it as I am never found standing in one spot. I am either down on knees and elbows or flat in the sand just to get that perfect shot!
- I only shoot in RAW format and all images are converted to JPEG format when given to the client.
- Please note that no unedited or RAW images will be sold
WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE AFTER MY PHOTO SHOOT?
- All editing is in progress and been completed.
- Once edits are completed, sneak previews of your photo shoot will be posted on my Facebook and website.
- You will then be notified on email that your photos have been posted online and you can share with friends and family members.
- I will contact you either by text or email to arrange collection of the photo disc.
PLEASE NOTE:
- From editing and website posts, your disc containing your images will be ready within 4 - 6 weeks after your shoot. This is mainly because my photography is my sideline job and during the week I work full time as a personal assistant and administrator. I try very hard to under promise and over deliver as soon as I can.
- I do not offer prints or photo books
WHAT IF I DO NOT STAY IN YOUR AREA?
I do my shoots in and surrounding areas around the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. As this is not my full time job, I do not do photo shoots in locations based outside my jurisdiction (ex; Simonstown, Fishhoek, Houtbay, etc.)
I would be much happier to send you contacts and referrals to more experienced photographers who are willing to travel.
WHAT IF MY CHILD IS ILL ON THE DAY OF THE SHOOT?
If you need to cancel your photo shoot because your child is ill, sick or feeling feverish (as children are not in the happiest of moods if they are feeling sick), or if in case of a family emergency, contact me and we will then re-schedule/postpone to the next available date.
